It snowed last week! My wee ones were euphoric with excitement, you would have thought it was Christmas all over again!
What do you think, too well thought out? I thought Monday Links was too close to another blogs weekly linkage, so I made an attempt at creativity and this is what I came up with; Monday Musings......you can tell me, I can take it.....
So this past week has been a blur, work has been swamped (not that I'm complaining) and home has been the usual lovely (most of the time) chaos, so my blog hasn't been feeling the love. I'm working on it. I promise, cross my heart....
Here are a few clickables for you to peruse on some things I found intriguing or inspiring from this past week.
The Simple Dollar: Children and Allowances: This article from The Simple Dollar really inspired me and I urge you to take a look if you've been thinking about implementing an allowance of some sort for your kids. John and I have discussed it in the past, and after reading through these helpful ideas and tips, I feel like we're in a good place to start teaching our own kids about money, value, and saving.
The Best Soup Ever: Oh yeah, go ahead, give a try and tell me it's seriously not the best soup you've ever had! So rich and creamy and full of delicious vegetables and potatoes with all kinds of lovely flavors mixing together....mmmm, I'm getting ravenous just typing this out! All I do is throw some chicken with a little chicken broth in the crock pot before I leave for work and when I get home I take it out and shred it up (it's pretty much falling apart anyway) and then toss it into the soup right before serving. Try it. You won't be sorry.
A No Spend Month? This is a year of simplifying, purging and saving and John and I have talked a few times about embarking on a No Spend Month, inspired by Rachel at Small Notebook. It's a little scary, and a whole lot daunting, but I think we can do it. Soon.
I made these last night. They were melt in your mouth good.
That's all for tonight, it's definitely been a busy week, but I'm looking forward to a fresh week, with a bit more time to invest in my lovely blog world.
What have you discovered lately that's inspired you or made you smile?
